Planning permission granted for more than 20 new homes on Cork's South Douglas Road

Planning permission has been granted to a developer for the construction of more than 20 new homes on the South Douglas Road in Cork.
Rubellite Ltd has been granted permission for the works, which will take place at Ard Na Gaoithe on the busy link road.
The project will see the construction of 21 new homes. There are plans for two apartment blocks and a detached house.
Both apartment blocks will be three storeys in height.
The development also includes car parking, bicycle parking, external refuse storage, internal footpaths and landscaping, including new gardens.
Elsewhere, plans to develop some 45 new homes in Coachford, Co Cork, have been unveiled.
TFT Construction Limited has lodged a planning application with Cork County Council.
The works, if approved, will take place at Glebe & Knockaneowen in Coachford, and would see the construction of 45 new units.
It would include four four-bed houses, 33 three-bed houses, four two-bed houses, and four two-bed duplex apartments.
Access would be via the R618.
Meanwhile, in Passage West, permission has been granted for the construction of 26 new homes.
Buildrus Ltd has been granted permission to build 10 three-bed duplex houses, 13 two-bed apartments, and three one-bed apartments, all contained within three terraces.
That project will take place at Mansfield House, Pembroke, Passage West.
