Desire Lines: LUSH's watermelon soap is a Gaza fundraiser

Watermelon Soap: fundraising for the people of Gaza by LUSH.
This week saw us mark a year of Israel’s devastating war on Gaza.
It’s easy to feel helpless about what we can do as individuals, but funding charities working in and around Palestine is one small action we can take.
One hundred percent of the profits from Lush’s vegan Watermelon Slice soap, launched in July, go to projects providing mental health support and trauma counselling for children in Gaza and the West Bank.
Priced at €7.50 per 100g, some £590,000 has already been raised through sales of the soap.

Another week, another fashion brand teaming up with an influencer.
This collaboration, however, seems particularly well-thought out — Irish designer Sinead Keary has brought Lydia Millen on board.
With over 1.4m followers on Instagram, and a further 1.3m on TikTok, the English beauty is sure to bring new customers over to Keary’s label, which has already made a name for itself with its classic silk wardrobe staples and signature bow back styles.
The stand-out item in Millen’s new collection is a mother of pearl two-piece suit, featuring a voluminous puff sleeve jacket (€45) and matching trousers (€98). Skip the little black dress for this absolute stunner.

Braised lamb red curry with mint yoghurt, shepherd’s pie with parmesan mash and chicken basquaise with spicy sausage are some of the standouts we’ll be adding to our rotation.
