Gaelscoil Charraig Uí Leighin have been crowned Cork Roinn GF1 champions after overcoming the challenge of Ballygarvan at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Emily Ní Chiarnáin and Fay Learner drove Carrigaline forward from the middle third throughout, both grabbing goals for their school, as did Kate de Hochtún.
De Hochtún opened the scoring with a well-taken soccer-style goal for the Carrigaline school, before Ní Chiarnáin doubled the Carrigaline lead by the 12-minute mark. Isla Duggan and Gracie Driver would get Ballygarvan on the scoreboard before the short whistle, however.
Duggan would add a third straight after the interval, but a Learner goal for Carrigaline, coupled with a superb second half performance from wing-forward Mia Uaféir got Carrigaline over the line. This despite some tireless work from Ballygarvan’s Kaitlin O’Mahony and Cliodhna Browne.
I Duggan (1-2, 1f), K O’Mahony (0-2), C Browne, G Driver (0-1 each).
F Learner (1-1), E NÍ Chiarnáin, K de Hochtún (1-0 each), M Uaféir (0-3).

Jack Carroll was the star as Rochestown charged their way past Inch to take the Cork Roinn DF2 title.
Goals proved key for the winners, with imposing centre-forward and full-forward pair Carroll – scorer of 2-4 on the day - and Robert O’Shea raising green flags for the winners.
Although Rochestown midfield pair Conor Sugrue and David O’Shea got the scoring underway, Both Ciarán and Tomás McGrath would find the necessary replies either side of a Carroll score for Rochestown.
With Inch up one at the interval, Rochestown’s O’Shea and Carroll came to life. O’Shea was the provider for Carroll’s opening goal, and O’Shea would celebrate his own a minute later. 2-3 to 0-4.
Inch full-forward Tomás McGrath would continue his efforts but found difficulty in edging the battle with strong full-back Ronin Morrissey.
From there, while Ben Costine and Michael Cronin would find scores, Carroll was able to close the game out for Rochestown.

Innishannon stamped their names on the Cork Roinn DGF2 winners’ list by edging their way past Rochestown in a tight affair.
Impressive midfielder Samantha Johnson was crucial to her school throughout.
Johnson would grab the only scores of the opening 10 minutes, both coming from places balls, but Rochestown would find a reply soon after.
Amy Hynes grabbed a point before Kate O’Donovan won and converted a penalty to put her school up by two. Rochestown ‘keeper Lola Farrell impressed throughout, but Johnson, unerring from frees, helped herself to two further points either side of half-time.
A quick-fire brace from Innishannon wing-forward Maeve Whooley would put two between them before Johnson found her fifth of the day. Rochestown mounted a late charge but were unable to add to their 1-1 tally.

A goal-hungry St Joseph’s, the Mardyke side secured the Cork Roinn F2 spoils after victory over St Colman’s, Macroom.
St Colman’s fast start, given to them by Noah and Finn Moss was to be quickly wiped out. A rapid 3-3 from St Joseph’s put them in full control, with Max Boundy, Noah Ayinde and CJ Burke all raising green flags.
Although a fine double save from the St Colman’s keeper led to a point for Eoin O’Sullivan, the Mardyke school would continue to make an impression on the scoreboard.

Goals from Boundy, Michael Campbell and Charlie Wynne, and points from Burke, Adam Cooney and Jack O’Regan would stretch the St Joseph’s lead. Luke Murphy did manage to add a point for the Macroom school, but the 6-7 to 0-4 deficit meant they had a hill to climb.
From there, a fine second-half performance saw St Colman’s centre-forward Eoghan Kelly grab 1-3, but another from St Joseph’s goal-poacher Ayinde, coupled with points from O’Shea and Wynne ensured they wrapped up proceedings.
N Ayinde, M Boundy (2-0 each), CJ Burke (1-3, 1f), C Wynne (1-1), M Campbell (1-0), M O’Shea (0-2, 1f), A Cooney (0-2), J O’Regan (0-1).
