Allianz Sciath na Scol F1 final: St Anthony’s 5-9 Crosshaven 0-1 

St Anthony’s made it three-in-a-row of Allianz Sciath na Scol F1 titles with a wonderful team performance against Crosshaven.

The Ballinlough boys had 10 different scorers in a final that uniquely pitted All-Ireland referee Colm Lyons, principal of Crosshaven, against his brother Seán, principal of St Anthony’s.

Anthony’s got off to a fantastic start with a goal from Ronan Campbell, the talented brother of Munster Rugby star Patrick, after an initial Milo Twomey save.

Skillful play by Aidan Courtney and Andrew O’Shaughnessy drew further saves from the excellent Twomey but Anthony’s followed up with a point from the influential Ardis Berisha, two from Bryan O’Shaughnessy, and a Courtney goal to lead by 2-3 at the break.

O’Shaughnessy’s brilliant point-taking continued with three more in the second half, while his brother Andrew, Luke Twohig, and Tom Russell scored eye-catching efforts.

Anthony’s added goals from Fionn Ronan, Ben Galvin (after a tremendous Twomey double save), and an unstoppable Louis Sheehan rasper.

After a fantastic run to the final, Crosshaven put up a strong challenge with multiple block downs from Mossie and Charlie Bermingham and Dylan O’Sullivan. Charlie Bermingham registered a point and Flynn McGrath came close to a goal, denied by a Daniel Costello save.

Allianz Sciath na Scol Urban GF1 final: Shanbally 2-7 Scoil Bhríde Crosshaven 1-3 

In the first leg of back-to-back Sciath na Scol finals, Shanbally won the Urban GF1 title against Scoil Bhríde Crosshaven in an entertaining end-to-end contest.

Scoil Bhríde scored from their first attack with a Juno Foran free but Shanbally replied with a 1-5 streak.

Ruby O’Neill won and converted a free, full-back Anna O’Neill surged forward for a point, Lucy Slye produced a stylish brace, and Grace Foy added the next. The goal arrived in the 15th minute when Slye’s shot found the net.

With Lauren Delaney in fine form, Scoil Bhríde hit back with a goal as Brooke Casey teed up Lucy K Murphy for a powerful finish.

After a Ruby O’Neill free, Murphy had a shot astutely tipped over the bar by Emily McGarry to leave it 1-6 to 1-2 at half-time.

McGarry took two more efforts off the line, while Saóirse Larkin excelled in defence.

Shanbally extended their lead with a rocket from Foy to the top corner, assisted by the hard-working Mia Coughlan, followed by an Emily Nolan point.

Hannah McDaid’s brave defending led to a pointed free from Foran but Shanbally held out against a late barrage of attacks.

Allianz Sciath na Scol F3 final: Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh 4-4 Shanbally 2-3  

Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh secured the Sciath na Scol F3 trophy with a free-flowing attacking performance against Shanbally.

The Rushbrooke school had the upper hand in the opening 10 minutes, finding goals from Thomas Anglim, who joyfully celebrated in front of the South Stand, and Rian O’Mahony’s soccer-style strike.

Shanbally came alive to dominate the second quarter, sparked by 1-2 from the impressive Fionn Behan to narrow the gap to the minimum; 2-0 to 1-2, at half-time.

O’Mahony registered Rinn an Chabhlaigh’s first points with a brace before Aaron Cotter prevented a goal opportunity with a well-timed sliding block.

Harry O’Neill slotted a free for Shanbally but the Rushbrooke school replied with 1-2. Billy Leahy landed a 45 before Bazanye opened his account with a point followed by a goal swung perfectly into the top corner from distance.

Their keeper James Kelleher produced superb saves to stop powerful shots from Diego Baranowski and Charlie O’Toole before Baranowski got his goal with a low finish.

But midfielder Bazanye sealed the win with a late blast to the net.
