Watch: The public have their say on homelessness ahead of Election 2024

In September 2024, the last month for which figures are available, there were 14,760 people in emergency accommodation. 

This figure included 4,561 children from 2,133 families. 

Ahead of General Election 2024 the Irish Examiner took to the streets to get the public's views on what the next Government can do to help the housing and homelessness crisis.
