Desire Lines: Kate Moss's fashion classics revisited at Zara

Kate Moss' Zara collection lands Saturday, November 30

The partywear:

Is Kate Moss still the merchant of cool? Zara certainly thinks so.

The high street giant has teamed up with the supermodel and her stylist, Katy England, to create what is sure to become one of this season’s most coveted collections.

The Party Capsule, which lands today, is inspired by pieces from Moss’ own archive — like this number inspired by her 2005 Glastonbury look.

The new Baileys Choc-Tails, €6

The festive treat:

Baileys is having a bit of fun with its 2024 Christmas chocolate collection.

Our favourite? The new Baileys Choc-Tails, €6, a gifting pack with four cocktail shaped chocolates infused with one of two festive flavourings, the creamy Baileys original flavour or the rich Espresso Crème flavour.

Or, try the Baileys Chocolate Nut Mix.

Think roasted almonds coated in Baileys chocolate, with caramelised hazelnuts, cashews, almonds and peanuts, with a hint of Baileys, sprinkled amongst salted caramel popcorn.

Enniskinn soaps, candles and bath bombs

The self-care treat:

Like many, Enniskinn founder Jessica Shaw was inspired to start her self-care business during the covid-19 pandemic.

The Fermanagh native started by making her own soaps during lockdown and soon discovered her passion, expanding to bath bombs and candles.

She’s gone from her kitchen sink to market stalls to her own high street store in Enniskillen and now, a place in Carroll’s Irish Gifts stores after winning their 2024 Fáilte Initiative.

It’s hard to choose a favourite from her collections, but the ‘Scents of the Glens’ collection, with its notes of lemongrass, grapefruit, and bergamot, is a firm favourite.

The free tour:

Launched during the pandemic lockdown in 2020, Ardú Street Art has become a cornerstone of Cork’s cultural landscape bringing some of Ireland’s most respected artists, including Maser, Deirdre Breen, James Earley, Shane O’Driscoll, Conor Harrington, and more, to the city’s urban spaces.

Now, a new night-time walking tour will highlight select works including Tomás MacCurtain commemorative pieces, a new collaboration between James Earley, Tony Byrne, and Cian Walker on Harley Street, and other key works from artists like Clare Provost and Vents137.

The tours take place next Thursday and Friday evening, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, meeting at South Terrace by Vents 137 mural.

The event is free, but advance booking is essential.

Foxford Croía throw
Foxford Croía throw

The throw:

All designed and made in Foxford, one of Ireland’s oldest working mills, we love the Croía throw.

Crafted with high-quality cashmere and lambswool, Fiesta Pink, Pearl, and Grey Herringbone adds a touch of cosy luxury this Christmas.

The finishing touch? Croía means “heart” in Irish. A gift with meaning.

The supplement:

Looking for an advent calendar with a difference?

Advanced Nutrition Programme has suggested swapping the sugar-hit for some skin-loving nutrients, and in fairness, that doesn’t sound like a bad call in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Their Skintelligent Skin Box costs €89 and includes seven days each of: Skin Moisture IQ (for dry, dehydrated skin), Skin Even IQ (for pigmentation), Skin Collagen Synergy (supports collagen formation), and Skin Ultimate (targets ageing skin).

Manifest The Daily Journal, The Head Plan x Roxie Nafousi, €30
Manifest The Daily Journal, The Head Plan x Roxie Nafousi, €30

The journal:

Launched just in time for Christmas gifting, Roxie Nafousi’s latest collaboration with The Head Plan is a 12-week guided journal which aims to simplify the practice of manifestation, with daily prompts, affirmations, and reflection exercises to keep you aligned with your goals in 2025. It retails at €30.

Crozier Blue.

The cheese:

As Ireland’s only sheep’s milk blue cheese, Crozier Blue is a thoughtful choice for a cheese connoisseur.

Handmade each spring by the award-winning Cashel Blue Farmhouse cheesemakers team, this earthy, creamy cheese is gently tangy, salty, and textured.

A 500g wheel, €30, would make a gorgeous gift to take to a food lover’s home this festive season.

Available exclusively at specialist cheese counters nationwide and online.
