The Irish Examiner's Farming Editor Rachel Martin was also shortlisted in the awards for her feature 'Era of the eco cow' - examining the possibility of breeding for lower methane emissions. It was shortlisted for Best Technical Report

The judging panel was chaired by former RTÉ Radio editor Tom McGuire, joined by Maeve Dineen (communications consultant and former journalist), Joe Healy (former IFA president and chair of the Agri-Food Regulator), Michele Filippi (PR consultant), and Anne-Marie Butler (Head of Education, Teagasc).
