Ryanair sees November passenger numbers grow 11%

Over the last 12 months, Ryanair has flown 196.1 million passengers.
Budget airline Ryanair has seen an 11% increase in its passenger numbers during November compared to the same month last year ahead of the busy Christmas period.
According to the company’s latest passenger data, 13 million passengers flew with the airline during the month, up from 11.7 million last year, with a load factor of 92%.
During the month, Ryanair operated over 73,750 flights.
In the 12 months to the end of November, 196.1 million passengers have flown with the airline — up from 180.8 million last year — with a load factor of 94%.
Last month, following the release of its financial results, Ryanair said that it expects fares across its network to be lower over the Christmas period as it seeks to stimulate demand.
During the first six months of its current financial year, the cost of the average fare dropped 10% to €52 year-on-year. Fares dropped 15% during the first three months and by 7% during the second three months of its financial year.
While the airline expects a fare reduction around Christmas it probably won’t be as high as 7%.
However, the airline also warned that the passenger cap at Dublin Airport could result in fares at the airport being higher.
