Cork City have announced the loan signing of goalkeeper Tein Troost from Eredivisie side NAC Breda.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper joins the club on loan until July, subject to a medical, after the Rebel Army secured Premier Division status for 2025.

Troost - who replaces impressive goalkeeper Brad Wade - joined the NAC Breda academy aged 10, then had a five year stint at Feyenoord before returning to NAC in 2023. Troost has also represented the Netherlands at underage level.

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Cork City. It’s an exciting new chapter in my career, and I can’t wait to get started," Dutchman Troost said. "Looking forward to giving my all for the team and the fans. Let’s make it a great season!”
