Investigation after teenager assaulted in Cork city

Witnesses are asked to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 452 2000 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Gardaí are investigating the assault of a teenager following an incident on Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City on Friday night.

The incident occurred shortly before 10pm on Friday. 

The victim, aged in his late teens, is believed to have received non-life-threatening injuries, a Garda spokesperson said.

Enquiries are ongoing. 

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.
